Feds Drop Interest Rates!

The Federal Reserve cut interest rates for the first time in years! What does that mean to you? Well, if you are about to face a change on your adjustable rate mortgage, this could be a fortunate bit of news for you. However, rates were already very low. Home ownership is still the best way to build wealth, not to mention be your own landlord. The increase in the foreclosure rate was caused by unscrupulous lenders making loans to people unable to repay them, just so they would make a commission from the loan! That is why you should ALWAYS choose a mortgage lender that you can trust to be ethical and fair in all of their business practices. I highly recommend Sandi Ely with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. She has been in the business of lending for many years and her website is one of my links. Give her a call to discuss what type of loan works best for you, and ask her for a prequalification appointment! You will be glad you did. Sellers offer better deals to buyers that are qualified with a trusted lender. It means that seller can take it to the bank! It also means that seller will make a sweet deal for you the buyer too! Real Estate Buying Advice

The best advice I can provide you, the homebuyer with is to visit your lender/mortgage company first! Running from Open House to Open House in various price ranges simply wastes your time. See what your comfort range is, and have your credit checked for errors.
Then find the "right" agent to be your very own. Sign a Buyer Agency Agreement, and trust that ONE agent, (hopefully me), to assist you. When you see another agent's name on a sign, call YOUR agent and ask them to make the appointment for you.
Be honest with yourself about what is most important about your new home. New is great, but if you need larger for less, you might consider a home that's a few years old. Remember, it's all about YOUR needs.
